What is a Rotary E-Club?
Unlike a brick and mortar club, which meets face-to-face on a weekly basis, an e-club meets electronically. There is no set time for a meeting, members can freely login at their own time.
"The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders."
How Rotary chooses projects
(The four way test)
1-Is it the truth?
2-Is it fair to all concerned?
3-Will it build good will and better friendships?
4-Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Cultural learning -- fostered through forum discussions posted on our website. Each month there will be a controversial global topic (e.g. income inequality, refugee crisis, global warming, etc) posted for members to respond to. This will provide an opportunity for cross- cultural dialogue and expression.
A global network of like-minded people with varied life experiences, ages, cultures, etc.
Resources to get projects done -- we will be a part of Rotary District 5430 which has numerous established clubs and funding opportunities.
Flexibility -- a forum to turn ideas beyond the norm into projects.
An online format -- whenever possible meetings will be held online.
We are a group of professionals from all backgrounds and diverse countries united by a purpose to help our local and global communities. We engage our members and visitors electronically. Our meetings consist of two electronic meetings, one in person meeting for those living locally in the district (meeting is recorded for those remote) and one service project or visit to another rotary club in your local area.
